Syracuse is a ‘wounded dog’
The Orange is coming off a humiliating 43-point loss at Maryland.
Syracuse held a 4-hour team meeting last Sunday reviewing the game in painstaking detail.
“I feel like we have a team that’s so much better than what happened (at Maryland),” sophomore safety Andre Cisco said. “I feel like we have the chance to show that.”
Clemson, riding a 17-game winning streak on the heels of an impressive victory against Texas A&M, is expecting Syracuse’s best shot.
“A wounded dog is the most dangerous dog to me,” Clemson defensive coordinator Brent Venables told reporters earlier this week. “They’ll come in with a great deal of desperation, toughness, the right kind of mindset coming off their last game.”
